When creating a footprint in conventional foam, a bulge may occur in the foam at the ball of the foot or heel. This bulge is irrelevant when pouring or measuring the impression. However, this bulge will distort the scanned foot image during scanning and subsequent automatic milling of the insole. Because the foam sheets with PodoScann are completely fixed to the cardboard on the underside, an exact image is scanned and can be processed without correction. This ensures a true scan result. In addition, the light-colored foam offers the best properties for error-free scan results and is compatible with all common scanning systems.
